Is there a standard screw that I can use in place of my "D" shaped screw? Better yet, is there a way to put a longer one in there that I can just adjust with my fingers?
I don't care what it costs, I need to replace that darn screw. With the cold weather, I need to throw a 42 pilot in and then fine tune it.
It was a B*TCH starting it today with the 40 pilot in 42*F weather. :(

-a 22.00 carb rebuild kit will come w/a slotted pilot screw
-ive got the 90* straight edge screwdriver [slotted]...it was 25.oo and still not really easy but better than the alternative for sure
-mr moose posted a few pix of the 450R thumbscrew pilot adjuster...but him and i are not having any luck seeing if they fit yours/mine carb [400ex]
-i can live w/the 90* slotted screwdriver but it does take patience that way...i count 1/2 turns to 2-3 complete turns out [4-6 1/2 turns from the right side of the bike], brake pedal side
-sorry; thats all i got
