I rotate my throttle lever little bit on the handlebars. It changes the angle of the thumb position and makes the hand use other muscles.

yah, it'll help. the closer to the palm the more comfort you get and it'll give you more leaverage which= less effort.

On my banshee keihins i cut the slide springs in the carb. Makes it real easy. I also have put airtool oil in the cable.

How can you lube the cable?

90ex lever, and exercise with an ice cream scoop. I used to keep one in the console of my car, and use it to and from work. I would get funny looks at the red light, but it really does help.

open up the thumb throttle cover and spray/pour oil down the cable. what i did was remove the spring in the throttle housing and if you are confident enough in your abilities you could slightly strech the big return spring in your carb. that's what i did and you can reduce the pull by 0 effort to where it is now. just depends how much you stretch the spring.

most people don't want to dig in the carb to do that so i would just remove the one in the throttle. it's pretty easy, like 5 minutes.

You can remove the spring in the throttle housing an it'll still return properly? I never thought about trying that. I'll try that when I get mine back together.

yep you sure can. it actually does so little you may not notice the difference but there will be one. the main return spring is in the carb.

it's the spring on the upper left side of the carb. just cut a 1/3rd of it out and bend that tab back and it'll be soooo much easier.

-i have a cable lube tool...stick the cable in a vice gingerly and use the tool [red tube that comes w/aresol spray cans]...a funnel made from electrical tape will work fine too

-now the best kept secret 'tri~flow' aresol lube [a little more expensiove, like 6.oo for a small can], maybe 8-10 oz.

-spray the cable evert 15 minutes until it drips out the other end

-i have a drag race clutch on my harley and tri~flow on the clutch cable allows me one finger usage...way easier than any hydrolic clutch ive used...throttle cables snap back like crazy unless the screw~in cruise control is turned in 1/10

-when i sell a cable at the shop, i always give the customer the option to lube it for free [takes 20 minutes]...plus it alows the customer to look at more products and ask questions...dang i gotta get a case of this stuff [but im cheap and lazy] lol lol

-plus i feel that sets my shop apart from most

-ps; not affiliated w/'tri~flow lol lol

You can buy extentions for not too much I think, that much more leverage, or you can spend $180 on a dual gasser throttle, thumb throttle but if you press a button turns into a twist throttle, but I can't see ever wanting one of those. Your best bet is to spray some WD in there.
