Replace start button

How do I replace the start button with a kill switch and still be able to turn the lights on and off and high beam?

You cant unless you fab up a switch for the lights.

I had the light switch go bad and had to replace the whole kill switch,lights,starter button assembly. Looked to see if you could replace the one switch but nope!

I did the same thing and had to buy a street bike hi-beam/low-beam/ kill switch and then cut the wires from the main harness and tie them into the switch I bought. It's deff. not a job for the faint at heart, but if you know wiring and don't care that you're chopping into your harness it isn't that bad at all. I can give you a link to the switch I bought if you're interested in doing it.

I bought the Honda replacement and it connected up with no problem. Unplug the 4 wires and plug in the new one.

He's talking about a custom setup. Using a dirt bike kill switch for a starter button, but then using another switch for the hi/lo beam and kill switch.

Thanks for the info. I definitely don't want to chop into the wiring harness too much but sounds like a nice setup
