I just got a subframe back from Brandon (3leggeddog) and let me tell you the work is NICE. Just as good as an aftermarket subframe if not better!

I would highly recommend getting this done and Brandon is an awesome person to deal with.

what is the benefit of this mod? my son races xc, will this help?

basically just drops the center of gravity when your on the quad because the seat is lower.
have heard that it tremendously helps cornering

I don't know how much it would benifit a XC racer. It is a great mod for MX for corning. It does help with traction out of corners, and may help a XC rider feel taller on the quad

Played around with my adjustable subframe tonight. Fit like a glove. Awesome. Unfortunately my build is taking a little longer than expected, but I will have pictures up soon. Just waiting to get my motor back in my frame which should be in the next couple days.

how does it keep the plastics all lined up and stuff from hitting at full compression?

the plastics won't line up perfect when the subframe is lowered, but that's just a minor draw back for a better center of gravity. never heard of anyone having clearance problems, might need the airbox risers if you run a airbox.

I got mine done from brandon and the plastic lines up perfect..

it will still "line up" on the frame but once the subframe lowers the plastic under the tank will flex a little due to the new position of the suframe pulling it down a little, not much and some probably wont even notice.

i noticed on my ktm subframe that brandon did for me that if you bottom out the rear the battery hits a little but to be honest on my last ktm i busted the battery box without the lowered subframe so its not because of the subframe, and they make a battery relocation kit because of their design flaw with battery position
as for plastic and seat line up you cant really even tell at all you can tell its way lower than stock in rear but still looks good and works good as well no issues
most likely easiest cheapest way to reach better handling goals

Syco I do mill a new slug. Then press it in the frame and weld it up. Biggest cost is the hiems and seat latch kit.
