i'm considering getting an older subaru outback sport in the near future. I defintley want to get a 2.2L manual awd. Anyone own one of these or something similar? just wondering what kind of mileage they get and if people like them.

My wife had a 2000 Subaru Outback Sport, 2.2L, auto trans when I first met her. Once we got married, I took over all maint. on it. It was a good little car, no problems with it at all. Got mid 20's for mileage around town and low to mid 30's for mileage on the highway. We got rid of it almost a year ago, it had almost 110k miles on it, still ran great. She liked it so much, got a new 2011 Subaru Outback for her.

Yeah i have to agree with d.berg I own a 2000 outback 2.2 automatic its awesome car in the snow and stuff and mine still has only 75000 miles on it so shes good to go. My girlfriend and good friend also own them and have over 200k each and still run great...
