I got to thinking. Honda made the 450R starting in 2004 and it was basically a racing fourwheeler frame with the CRF450R engine on it. Well what if they released a TRX with basically a 250F engine on (RFS of course) to make a 250cc ATV racing class? Anyone think that would work? Like make it the same thing as the 450R just with a 250F engine on it with any other modifications needed to be done. The new Honda TRX250R lol

There was a kid at the arenacross last weekend on a jb frame (looked like a 300ex) best I could tell because it was small, with a 150 motor in it. He was fast! He ran in the novice, intermediate, and open class. I won the first open moto and he was RIGHT behind me. I was like daaaammnnn that kid is fast. It was crazy how good it worked. If they had a class full of grown men racing those things it would be awesome!

They are popular down here in FL in our "youth" class. Kids from 11 & up race them. Most have aftermarket 250R chassis's or Raptor 250 's with the CRF250 motor. My friend built one for his son with Lonestar 250R geometry chassis and a Kawi KXF250 motor and that thing is FAST. It will run with 450's all day long.

I agree if they made production 250F quads with the 250 dirt bike style motor (not the air cooled crap like in the Raptor), they would be popular. Better yet, just bring back the 2 strokes and then I'd be really happy! LOL

Yeah I would love to get a 2 Stroke but Service Honda makes a kit with a CR 250 motor and 400ex frame. Just a idea!
