I haven't been posting much progress on my Laeger 250R build, so I figured I would share what I have been up too...

I managed to score a spot on a 1000 acre Western Kentucky hunting lease last year and I have spent the better part of every weekend since the bow opener in September chasing whitetails.... checking trail cameras, etc. etc. .

I convinced the family to spend the Thanksgiving Holiday with me at the hunting lease rather than staying at home and cooking a large dinner. We ate at Cracker Barrel for lunch on Thanksgiving Day, and I talked her and the two kids into spending the afternoon in the hunting blind with me. I never imagined having the opportunity to harvest a deer that afternoon much less this guy. He stepped out into a food plot full of oates that we planted back in early October, and the rest is History....I had a few nightime pictures of this deer on trail cam, but no daytime pictures.
Not a monster by any means, and not the biggest one I had caught on camera, but still a nice buck in my book. I'm proud of him. 9 Points, Gross Score 136 7/8.

VERY NICE!

I just got back weds from my annual 3 day hunting trip to my cabin. It was WAY to warm for this part of the year and I didnt see squat and it rained all day tuesday so I left. Gonna try hunting in NJ since they recently loosened the regs a heck of alot!

i shot a 4 point today. i was aiming at the nine, but when i pulled up they were together and i just saw the body and i have both tags so idgaf haha i didnt look at the head, i just thought it was the 9 and clipped one off and hit the 4. my dad got his first bucks in 10 years, its a nice wide and low 8point. he shoots his deer perfect one shot, everytime. hes always in the wrong spot at the wrong time though and has badluck. my uncle shot another wall hanger like usual. my grandpa shot a nice 7. it was the most eventful day ever, fun as ****. after i shot my 4 my mom got beside my and shot like 5 times at the 9 and missed lol. im glad i skipped school today and hunted with the group. ill do the same tomorrow, and hopefully drop my doe. its gonna be a long day of gutting everyones deer tomorrow :/ i hate being the young kid

Great deer! Congrats. Here's mine from this year. I missed this guy 2 years ago at about 150 yards. My gun was shooting about 15 inches high at 100 yards...I didn't make the same mistake this year when he decided to peak his head out at 90 yards.

Just over 170.5" gross, nets 164.5".

I swear they raise mutant deer up there or something! Ones here are scrawny little things maybe 125lbs dressed and thats pretty big!

You canucks wouldnt be irradiating the fields they feed in would ya now?

Harsh winters cause them to pack on the pounds. That old boy weighed in between 300-350lbs. Bush deer too. Caught him on a cutline between 2 solid chunks of bush.
