zinc and yellow chromating

I found a local guy here that said he could do a large amount of hardware for me. Stripped, cleaned, zinc coated and then yellow chromated for $80. This price was for two gallon size ziplock bags full of bolts, motor mounts, hubs, etc... He also said he has done axles and tie rods but he doesn't think the plating Will hold up to the abuse a arms get. Also said he could leave them just zinc coated if someone didn't like the gold color but the yellow chromate would last about 4 times as long as zinc alone.. just thought I would share this if anyone was interested..
