The Can-am is lighter and in my opinion handles better. It has many stock components that do not need to be changed from stock to win at the national A class or even Pro-am level. The LTR and YFZ need to be fully modded and built. Its all about comfort. Sit on all 3, see which one you like the best. I didn't like the can-am when I sat on it, but I sure do love it now.

agree with blaster99 plus if you are going to races them they all have there little problem that need to be fix.

I wouldn't let issues with the quads sway you. The can-am has the front frame rails that break, the YFZ also has frame problems, and the LTR has tranny issues. All of them have problems. I have only broken 2 sets of frame rails in 3 years on a Can-am, so if you are smooth you wont have much of an issue.

The Can-Am MX is ready race off the showroom floor once you add a slip on and larger intake. It already has the best mx tires, beadlocks, nerfbars, high end shocks. thats about 2-4k in savings right off the bat.
Not to mention how easy it is to get the factory racer program.
I don't race but if I did I'd buy the machine that supports the business.
But like the others said it is also what you are comfortable with.

they are all good. love the ltr but 3rd gear is worse then broken frame parts.

can not go wrong with the race program.

i would go for the one that last more.

you guys forgot honda. they cost alot to make them race ready but they are bullet proof

they all have weak points.

If you have 20 grand to spend, a 450r might be your best bet, but if you don't have the money , I would stay away unless you don't mind riding a sub-par machine.

rotax motors are super good in stock form and will last for a long time.

a race trx is chaeper to build at 60hps and will last longer.

i have both and i am now going back to honda.

i am starting to see alot of hondas back in the mx races. i can t even touch them in the holeshots. yes hondas cost alot to build but once its done it will last many seasons.
