I recently bought a 2012 DRR 70 and am looking for an engine builder in Southern California to fix the engine. The quad is less than a week old and we somehow managed to screw up the motor. It ran great for a day out out Glamis and overheated and blew the coolant out of the overflow cap. Really sucked that it was the 1st day of a 6 day trip.

I was running (50% ) 103 octane unleaded race gas and (50%) 91 octane pump gas with a 32 to 1 mixture on the oil as recommened by Gary at G-Force.

Not sure what happened but I need to get it fixed. Any help is much appreciated.

I'm thinking this could be a bad head gasket.
You've not pulled the head yet?

I'll bet the junk plastic impeller (waterpump) blew apart - not allowing coolant to circulate.
Anyhow, make contact with Mark Williams (Raidernut) from on this forum. He is from Cali and more than likely point you in the right direction.

I'm dropping it off at Trinity Racing tomorrow for diagnosis. I'll make sure they check the head gasket and water pump. Thanks for your replies.
