Wish that I could have found LT's for the deals I got on my axis/houser set up all the way around:mad:

Oh well though Less than $1800 for everything:eek2: :huh So I can not complain to much

Complain nah why bother nobody would listen, but if ya want to cry and cry out loud too when you see what you could have been riding for just a few hundred more.

And trust me on this no matter what shock you prefer the LT is worth every single penny that it is overpriced :D

hey guys where should i buy my axis lt fronts only comp. only? i need the best price, so far the lowest bid is 1150 does anyone know of anything lower? thanks

Dave400ex
03-11-2003, 08:13 PM
Well I would think the best places would be C&D, Quadshop, or Duncan.

03-11-2003, 08:49 PM
so far the lowest bid is 1150 does anyone know of anything lower?

Its been a few months since I priced this stuff but I think you can do a little better on that price.

Remember that the Axis are a little more (ok a lot more than some) and I couldnt sell myself on them so I went with a better "overall value" but like I said b4 either way your gonna be doing this :D

03-12-2003, 05:19 AM
If i didnt have the axis long travel rear iwould have just got LT tcs or peps on the front by now, but i want them to match....im waiting for CD to get back and i think i might go with them if there good on the price because i wanna try one of their fuel screws. thanks

03-12-2003, 08:06 AM
If i didnt have the axis long travel rear iwould have just got LT tcs or peps on the front by now,

So you did the rear shock mount relocation allready?

anywhereEx
03-12-2003, 08:09 AM
Call Colby at C&D. When I was looking for shocks I talked to him and he had the best price by far.

440--- I wanted to go longtravel but did not have the cash to spare at the time. My next quad will definitly be long travel:macho and if things go right on a aren's frame----oh and that was 1800 for everything a-arms/swing(houser) and front and rear axis:eek:

I am interested in the rear shock mount location to. It definitly can not be to hard as long as you are a decent welder

Extremeracer167
03-12-2003, 09:28 AM
good god, where are u getting your deals from. Im gonna start buying my parts from them. At those prices, If you arent exagerating the prices, thats ALOT cheaper then i can get all of my parts for.

trx400ex
03-12-2003, 12:58 PM
well c and d was cheaper than TQS so im gonna go with them. my budget for this project is reallly tight...yes i did the shock relocation...well the frame i had already had it done. it doesnt appear to be to hard, mine has a whole new mount i think the stock one is a little thiner

03-12-2003, 01:35 PM
Extreeme I just happened to get lucky. I really wanted the LT but I would have had to be nuts to pass the deals that came my way :bandit:

Dave400ex
03-12-2003, 03:49 PM
How much would it cost to have the Mount moved? I know Rocky Ridge does it...

anywhereEx
03-12-2003, 03:53 PM
I would say as long as you can get somone on here to give up the measurements go to your nearest fabricating shop and they will probably be able to do it for alot cheaper and you will probably get a better product out of it.

BadA$$440
03-12-2003, 03:53 PM
Where can i find out info on LT rear ends? Like is it just the shock mount moved up or do you have to get a certain swingarm? Im having a custom alluminum frame made, along with LT a-arms, maybe a swingarm, and some other goodies, so i need to know what to do fora LT rear end. Where can i get the mount at?

trx400ex
03-12-2003, 04:14 PM
well first of all you just move the mount up, you dont go out and buy a different mount or anything. I dont think i have a stock mount, but you can still do it with a stock mount, just cut and weld..it would be pretty cheap if you can weld yourself, otherwise take it to rocky ridge or somewhere or if you dont live by any of those a local shop might do it

i posted some pictures on here one time i think...measurments are pretty simple...1'' up

BadA$$440
03-12-2003, 04:27 PM
ya, i got a professional welder/ metal fabricater. Do you have to buy LT rear shock?

trx400ex
03-12-2003, 05:06 PM
yeah, otherwise it would sit reallylow and not work to good, the shock is jsut an axis shock that is 1 inch longer and about 750$

03-12-2003, 08:31 PM
I would say as long as you can get somone on here to give up the measurements

Yea right good luck :grr

I have been trying that for I forget how long :( but maybe a certain member (yep you know who you are, and your in this thread too) will finally grace my mail box with that info ;)

anywhereEx
03-12-2003, 08:38 PM
Well I will have to give you credit for that because I have seen you ask for it 100 times.

I say just go on your own and just go up 3/4-1 inch.

No flames ment but sometimes it is a pain trying to get info on fairly easy things.
:ermm:

03-12-2003, 09:01 PM
I say just go on your own and just go up 3/4-1 inch.

I have thought of this and even have some numbers in mind based on the info I have BUT I got too much $$$ and time in this thing to be guessing now :) I got patience so I can wait, plus the elka rear isnt as bad as I may make it sound but its just not equal to the front and well you know.

Dave400ex
03-13-2003, 03:28 PM
I bet Axis could get you the measurements...

trx400ex
03-13-2003, 03:39 PM
im curious what you guys want measurements of??????

also i thought axis wont tell about the shock so you have to go threw rocky ridge or the other place

IM not trying to be a @$$ or anythign but what is so hard about moving it straight up one inch

the eyelet on the mount is exactly one inch above where it is stock

Dave400ex
03-13-2003, 07:26 PM
I think that is all they wanted to know. It doesn't sound like it would be to hard at all...

BadA$$440
03-13-2003, 07:39 PM
Extreme, i dont think i got it. I e-mailed you asking if it holds the battery, and if i can see some pics.

03-13-2003, 07:45 PM

03-13-2003, 08:31 PM
the eyelet on the mount is exactly one inch above where it is stock

Thats what everyone is looking for.

Are you absolutely sure the eyelet hole moves up one inch, and not back or even that the mount rotates an inch on the frame????

yeah i had 2 stock frames sitting next to it and its one inch up...what do you mean by rotating..
also if you look onyour quad you will have to cut that subframe tube that goes across right behind the frame...hard to explain, but you can see it in the pis i posted earlier,,,the subframe is the red and you see where it should go all the way across and its cut
