almost positive that YFZ450 calipers bolt directly up in place of the 400ex calipers and should be a significant improvement...

YFZ calipers will fit the 400EX spindles with no modification. That's what I have on my Walsh YZ.

you could also get a set of 250r calipers w/ 400ex adapters. The yfz calipers are probably cheaper to get.

YFZ calipers are WAY cheaper than 250R calipers, or all the ones I could find anyway. I bought the YFZ calipers, lines, and master cylinder for $60. I'm running a TRX450R master cylinder, braided lines, and YFZ calipers on 400EX spindles.

if you use a road bike master cylinder you'll be able to stop with one finger , i'm tellin ya .. try it if you want good front brakes . leave the calipers alone ..

I THINK all the front YFZ calipers are the same. Just to be clear...the older steel framed, carburated YFZ. Not the newer YFZ-R.

Ken we are running 2007 yfz calipers on the front of our blaster with the regular blaster master cylinder and they will lock the front up with no problem. Not to mention they are aluminum also. We did run the complete dual brake line system all the way to the master cylinder though instead of the t-line setup.
