I got CT310 and it has got hard to start when cold. When we tow start it, she starts soon as I let the clutch out then it is good all day, then will not start again the next morning.

Any feed back would be great on where to start looking.

Thanks

Yea bro im trying to figure this one out myself. My R started great all summer but as soon as it started getting a little colder she just will not start now...The thing is tho like you said all i need is to get towed 5 feet and as soon as the clutch is let out the quad is running, and starts first kick every-time after that initial pop start...

You guys are lean on the pilot jet. Either adjust your air screw or get a bigger a pilot. I'd go with a bigger pilot.

Also, check your compression.

Yep richen the pilot jet for cold weather and it will start alot easier. My LT250R is the same way. I have just been leaving it lean in the winter the last 2 years cause i hate having to rejet but i might just pull the carb this year.

You do know when kicking the engine over, you've got to spin the engine at least 750 rpm for the stock TRX ignition to produce a spark.

Could be from it being cold, your not spinning it over fast enough.
Any engine cold, takes more effort to rotate.

Also, set the plug gap to 0.018 to 0.020.

Had a little Honda TRX 70, when it was cold out, that thing wouldnt start for love or money.
Little time with the ol hair dryer blowing on the cylinder head & it would fire right up, easy as pie.

OK

This is what happened, we did two cold starts and went second kick.
Third cold start.......nothing.......checked the spark......no spark
