not one of these again, i went with crf. not sayin its better, but my blood is red, not blue, 450 is lighter, starts easy, no oil rezzy to mess with, and of course its honda. the yz fits better in a ex frame, where the crf needs a lot of cuttin and weldin, movin frame tubes and *****. the yz is a faster motor if you think about it, stock vs stock they say crf is faster, but i still thin the yzf is, plus a 450 needs to be tuned down 10 cc to meet 250/4 stroke class if thats your thing, whereas the yz can still go up 14 cc, plus yz is cheaper.

both motors have their problems, ive heard bad things about both clutches hinson can solve them. they both run hot, so you gotta use a big ***** radiator, so its up to you what you think is better. oh yeah, i heard on the 02 450's some problems with valves. they changed somethin in 03.

Tim Farr said that his YZF had more top end than his CRF but the CRF had more overall power.

I would go with the CRF450... The YZ426 and the 450 was good but the CRF is better... The power is more smooth and does a real nice job granted the YZ will rev a little higher but its not that much... I have rode both motocross bikes and would go with the CRF450... :)
