? where is our Kitaco twin cam heads and our Takegawa super heads. We are way behind what can be got out of these mini's.

There was some chatter last year about the DOHC heads but apparently there must haven't been good results from them. That bike in the vid you posted doesn't really show anything. I can take a 125 and drop it in a pit bike frame and gear it accordingly to make that same run. He only shifts once before lifting off the throttle right after.

As if Kitaco didnt have enough longevity problems already, add two more valves.... LMFAO!!!

That being said, sure there is a TON being left on the table!

From what I know, were leaving alot on the table but I guess it would depend on what type of racing.

Sure Id love to slap a 4V head on our motor, just dont think the investment vs. payoff it wouldnt be worth it for XC racing.

A good 2v head sets you back enough....:(

Do your kids race TRX's?

NO ! One has an apex the other a DRR. But I have built a couple mild TRX's and reliability seems to be the issue once you try for more power.

Scott Cain racing builds some FAAAST trx 90 s and they seem pretty reliable.

Gilchrist, Medlin, Brocato, and Sarver all had real good results with them over the last few years and they all used SCR engines.

just some info.

I couldn't agree with you guys more! We ran one of Firepower's monster motors and never had an issue. That thing put out around 20hp and we raced it for 5 months with not the first issue. Only rebuilt the top end once.

LMAO.... U have some of my parts.... I dont know if I want to own up to you having one of my "builtbydad" motors, lol!

Not to toot my own horn, but my built by dad motors do everything you just said, and then some, however, our Firepower motor is truely a work of art and awesome re-engineering! Terry is the MAN!

That guy definitely knows how to set up a motor. We actually toned it down by adding a heavier flywheel bc we didn't want to make such a dramatic change for Jam. It was a 25% increase over what we had. This year we were actually gonna add more goodies and add another 4-5hp :eek2: . But we ended up moving to 2 wheels instead due to all the drama. Damn I miss working with Terry on his builds :( . I always called him McGyver lol.

FPM definately knows all the tricks. He built us reliable motor for Pitster on a budget Only dnf was electrical. Doing secret build for us this year, but don't tell anybody.

We have a Pitster 125 that came with the V2 race head, that recently changed out the the 4 valve Pitster head, and that thing is bad fast. No DNF's this season on the V2 head and only 3-4 races on the 4 valve, but we ran the Pitster 125 vs. a schoolboy 300ex and they were neck and neck thru 4th gear!! And that was 2 school boy riders on the quads, they then swapped machines and got the same results. That Pitster125 4 valve motor is damn impressive.
