the houser crf hybrid im building now but everything thats houser to be walsh. although i like the idea of the 250r geometry and look the new walsh ltr geometry hybrid is very appealing.

thanks man, that quad truly was a dream of mine lol. In may of 07 i threw a chain and busted a crank case. I rolled it in the garage to fix it and once i started turning wrenches i never stopped. I told my buddies i was gonna build something noone around here had even seen and they laughed at me. You dont see quads like that around home. I know on this site they are a dime a dozen and this site is what made me want to build that. I worked 60 and 70 hour weeks all summer and made it what it was in the above pictures. I remember the day i got done my dad told me i should put it in the upper level of the barn and wrap it in plastic. i wish now i would have lol Here is what it looked like that day it went in the garage. I dont motor and all that summer. I knew the numbers at one time but i think that crank case ended up being about a $5500 joball together lol

thats what i hope for mine to turn out and your right these old folks round here just seen stock quads. h*** when they seen mine they dident know what is was never seen a 450r :devil: cant wait i got my frame done working on a BEST motor setup and got front end mods and graphics -hood :D keep em coming

its sooo much fun building quads from scratch, my only problem is i always seem to have lack of funds half way through it and end up doing it the cheap way instead of how i want to do it..

Maybe not next year, but by 2014/2015 i will have my dream quad if i land this job at the local machine shop im trying to get.

I always liked that quad a lot too. I think it's because that's the first year the FOX shocks came out.

Already own my dream quad. Just adding atvfour play lt arms and exit or motowoz shocks and it will be done.
It now has rath 44 series nerfs, quadtech hump seat, blue cv4 rad hoses, ims bumper, ac grab bar and blue asv levers. Just dont have a recent pic because its torn down for winter rebuild.

Ill get one when im on my lap top. Nothing all that special to it.. Rebuilt shocks, carbon hood, fmf exhaust, ohlins dampener and high compression piston. But i love it because it handles better and a whole lot faster than my old Honda i had 20k invested in and im not constantly fixing it!

^^ sadly the reverse kit isent made lol would be nice tho. mine is 2 of them a 05450r +3 stroke rod 480 cw kit with 13:1 je piston +1 valves venome port and polish houser a arms fox floats and flex bars :blah: next the one im building je 12:5:1 piston hotrod stock stroke crank ferra valves hotcam stage 2 mild port and polish. tricked out motor scheme and frame sheme monster graphics +4 axle stock revalves +2 a arms pro taper bars and lots more ahhh cant wait till its done. keep them coming

Realistic: stock, cheap, used 400ex w/skids, better tires/chain/sprockets, oversized fuel tank, tireballs. Basically any reliability mod that'll keep me from being stranded in the woods.

Unrealistic: the very light titanium 250R with a CR500 engine with the titanium 250R engine stuff if it'd fit, dunno much about frame geometry but call it hybrid, dunno if those can have EFI, a tame/reliable turbo or oil injection, long swingarm so it's not overly wheelie happy but still rideable in open woods and slow sections, electric start or a wicked decomp, reverse. Basically an XC-ready-if-you-want-to/drag hybrid that's reliable and deadly. It'd have everything you'd ever want in a 2-stroke, nevermind need. Dream-like, and near impossible. It'd also somehow have to be quiet lol.

Turbo renegade with big bore kit for powersliding in the snow.
