I was given an NOS Wiseco 86mm piston for my 400ex (no rings, just the piston), but the paperwork is missing. I bought the replacement ring pack for it but the bore specs are not with the ring install instructions. Anyone still have the clearance specs for a Wiseco 4628M08600 piston kit? I need to know the how much clearance to tell my machinist when he bores my cylinder. Thanks in advance.

You probably could contact Wiseco and they will help you on that question.

iirc its .013 and .017, in inches for ring end gap btw.

Your machinist will determine this when they measure the piston. I have NEVER had to tell anyone the information myself.

last one I gave to trapannis I just gave them the piston lol.

They measure the piston and then the bore, most machinists know what to make the clearances based on measurements.

Anyways, stop posting, come and ride with us! :blah:

Yep, it's printed on the box:

0020" (or could have been .0002, can't remeber now) I believe it said on my box.
