I seen it first hand. Dasa isn't good quality. Motoworks makes a good budget pipe.

Imo sparks hands down....I have a White Bros. pro aluminum now that may not make the highest hp, but overall fit and quality is right up there

Barker, we have 2 years on one, with no problems, and it tested highest hp on the dyno, with the lowest db of all of the pipes at the ama pro sound testing.

Maybe it was a lemon..couldve been someone bustin huge jumps or somthing. maybe loose bracket causing for excessive movement leading to the break? who knows.

I really like my Yoshi. It sounds amazing when I ride it, but it's not too loud. It also makes great power!

dasa makes the most power, has been proven on the dyno many of times, only thing close to it is sparks,barkers,rossier... exhaust really dont make that much of a difference on a mild build but when you get high hp that it were one exhaust will shine out of the others and that is the dasa

Dasa Dasa Dasa. The Joe Byrd Edition is also pretty quiet, like 98 decibles so if they still make it I would go with that

I actually think Dasa has one of the best built pipes quality wise,This has always been my first choice.

I'm a huge fan of buying a completely tuned engine package so I have a Baldwin engine mated to a Baldwin exhaust. I've made the mistake of mix-n-match and it takes a lot more effort to get it right. Really, you are matching the cam and the exhaust to each other.

I'd go with the exhaust your engine builder recommends.

I like my Moto Xperts pipe with the resonator chamber for lower DB's... check them out pretty fair priced for a full system!

Wish I could say the same. I hate the sound of my yoshi it's just like a louder stock exhaust. Not deep enough for my taste but that's just me.

I'm going old school, I like the CT style exhausts. I know a guy that hand build them and designed them before CT started coming out with their megaphone style pipe. Tons of power out of those exhausts.

Well, it's just my opinion. I guess you need to try a bunch out, do a little research and see which one you like best.

Everybdy knows dasa is the best performing pipe, hell go on the org and 90% of the people have them.

i personally don't like how they look, so if a sparks gives 1 horsepower less, i'll take it anyway, it's a better looking can and it sounds better imo.

On a near stock machine, there is going to be little difference between the top rated pipes. Differences really start to show once the intake, compression, head design and cam configuration change. At that point the "best" pipe should be choosen by back to back testing either on a dyno or actual rider tested on the track (assuming you want the best pipe for competitive riding). There is a reason DASA pipes are prefered over almost every pipe out there but the closest competitors like Sparks and Rossier shouldn't be over-looked. Each has their own specific head pipe design which can affect the power/torque curve in one favorable way over the other depending on the rider's preference. I've had great results with the sparks pipe on a mild stockbore build which enhances the midrange with it's longer head pipe.

actually, even on a bone stock machine with the airbox lid removed the dasa out performed sparks and rossier by over 1 horsepower.

I have also seen a dyno on a built 450r and the dasa and the sparks are still only around 1 horsepower apart, so the performance difference is almost identical whether the machine is stock or not.

Well excuse me, I speak from my own experience and testing. Again, it all depends on the machine.

I'll speak from my own experience as well as all the dyno time we have put on a dyno with real name Brand exhausts. Think your right on with your experience in brands as well as power!

it absolutely depends on the machine, nobody's arguing that.
