time for a 300EX

the class i'll be racing allows up to a 300 4 stroke. if they let up to a 300EX, why not get one? my dad said he doesn't want to dump a bunch of money into the 250 and still have 300's kill it. the tires and spacers will still fit. the nerfs are on back order. my friend is interested in buying my 250. as soon as i get the money, i'm gettin the 300. i found a used 2001 for a very good price. my 250 will be in the classifieds section if you are interested.

yea man,good luck buying it....300ex's are awsome quads....i think he told me the quad is 2800 and its a 2001...get pics too lol.then you can keep up better at rausch hahaha jk

there's 2 of them. there is a 98' for 2400 and a 01' for 2800. you guys can help me out on deciding on which i should get.

the 01' has a little clutch slack that can't be adjusted. i like the overall feel of it. the bars feel good. the front fender is unattached to the mount under near the shocks or something. it's loose. the front bumper is rusted but AC can fix that:p.

the 98's plastic looks cool and i like it. there is aftermarket bars on it that make them wider and i don't like the feel of the quad overall or the bars. it's older. it's actually in the same condition or better than the 01'. the front plastic has stiches cause it was broke. not real big. an area of about 4 inches round. there is some rust on the chain and rear sproket.

i am leaning towards the 01'. this guy offered me a GREAT deal that i'm going to have to take. the tires are worn down good so i'll need new tires for them. front and back. the tires i just ordered would cost 30 bucks to ship back. so i'm putting them on the 250 and asking another 100 for it. this guy said he'd give me brand new Holeshots front and back plus all 4 chrome rims from a brand new Cannondale raced twice for 225!!! that is dirt cheap. the rims alone are 60 bucks from a retailer each. so that's 240 just for rims and 200 for tires. so he's saving me 240 bucks. they are the same tire i want too. so we're doin that.

Good luck with that. I would suggest going with the 01 just because of age and stuff. Besides you are going to mod it anyways. Go with the one you really think is better shape wise.
