Sorry I should have been more specific... I made the whole thing with 2 pieces of wire and some male and female connectors... Basically the same thing as the pro armor quick connect thing they sell.

You unplug the small wire on the top of the coil and splice in the wires like shown in the picture and drawing

you can also use the black with white stripe wire, and any mechanical ground or green wire... the black with white stripe wire is the factory kill circuit.

there are many ways to correctly wire a kill switch, it comes down to what ever is the easiest to have access to wire

Very true DnB.. I like this way because you don't have to cut or use any of those plastic wire splicers that cut the jacket of the wire... If for any reason you want to go back to stock, get rid of the tether switch, break or lose the clip, you just unplug it.

for quads that have removed the factory light kill switch i use the plug from the stock switch and dont touch the main part of the harness, and if i ever want to reinstall another handle bar switch the tether can just be unplugged and the new handle bar switch plugged in

it really depends on what you have for wire connectors(stake ons) or if the handle bar switch is removed,,,

grounding the coil has the same exact results as grounding the blk/white stripe wire from the cdi

it is all in what is the easiest and most understandable to you

all the kill switch does either way is just sends the spark to ground instead of the plug
