Incorrect. Honda is the best possible bike for any possible riding or racing situation on this entire planet. always. ever.

id like to buy a vowel,

which is what you should have done for the 30000 other threads exactly like this that went nowhere because it comes down to preference.

have you ever ridden a kfx with the top 3? his kawi kept blowing because once you go over i think its 12.4 for compression the the stock rod kept on failing. He had to rebuild the engine after every national and was costing hetrick racing a lot of money. He said that the he did like the kfx a lot and at times was even faster than the trx. My kfx i think will blow my trx away (kfx has stock engine with pro circuit exhaust, fci intake and trx has hotcam and yoshi pipe and k&n.

I dont think you would be disappointed in the kfx unless you dont go super high on the comp. If so replace the rod and will be better off. plus you know pros beat the crap out of their engines. Also my kfx has hetrick's race cut harness which really help with the electricals

@piejazz96 thankyou for informing me on the compression issue! but then again there is also the added FI which makes tuning and such more complicated an expensive..alot of kawi's friends have had just dont seem to last like our honda's and KTM's.

i see what ur sayin them pros really do beat up on them motors..a kid that races at our local races has a kfx and is winning and ive never seen him have any motor problems(he really rides his quad hard to)

If you take care of the quad it will take care of you sort of thing. jetting carbs is easier. On kawis you are lookin at a huge basically excel sheet fine tuning air and fuel ratios at certain rpms on a laprtop. Also think kawasaki worked out the bugs with the 08 and 09 models.

I've also heard the ktms have big electrical problems as well...

is the new hondas fuel injected....and do they wiegh more than kawis??

piejazz96

they have not come out with a new honda yet. they have been selling the 09 for a couple years now but now the have added new graphics. Its all speculation about the new honda with alum frame and FI. Honda is a bit lighter than the kawi. I dunno but i can move the kawi around a lot easier than the trx. I believe its a 30lb difference.

honda dont care what people think...and they'll still sell a million 450's...

on a side note..the yamis are actually good bikes, and you can get some screaming deals on new ones.....local dealer had the 2011 450x bill ballance edition for like $5200 when the new 2012's came out

I always loved my Honda, and I had 500+ racing and mx hours on the stock motor before I touched it other than oil and filters, never ever had an engine problem

Sure, but I personally like a company that actually cares to listen and act on what people want. People wanted a more MX factory quad, the YFZ-R was built. XC guys needed a narrower quad, the YFZ-X was built. People wanted a cheaper new sport ATV, they re-released the YFZ.

IMO, yamaha is producing the best from the factory RACE quads, besides KTM. And i sure hope you were joking about Obama listening, because he seems pretty deaf to me...

Well if we want to make it a case, a honda is just more damn reliable. Simpler built and easier to work on.

Ive worked on a few yami's, built pretty well but you dont see battery terminals pulling off hondas (its a REALLY stupid design), or throttles not idling down on anything else. I musta personally witnessed 3 with the battery issue and 5 with the throttle issue.

That being said they are still good bikes/quads, not my taste but they are built rather well for what they are.

how many times have you seen crank bearings go?

MX MaNiAc 06

They all have their flaws and strong points. I've come to the conclusion that if you ride the crap out of it there is no such thing as reliability.. they all break the same to me. Ride what feels right to your style.

Never seen an 06+ do it.

Anyways mx maniacs right, the more you ride the more chance something goes wrong. Ive rebuilt mine (topend) at least 3x now, 2 of which it was needed and 1 of which was a looksee just to make sure I didnt damage anything (drowned it one day).
