I would try it and see you can not get the stock spring it's a new one they sell so you will probably have to change the roller weights as well. Went through this a couple months ago with a customers bike.

what do the roller weights look like when they are worn and need to be replaced.

Once they get flat spots on them they need to go.

You have to use an impact to get that nut off.

Was your quad bogging with or without air filter installed?

i just spent 3 hours on one and i could get it to idle finally after cleaning it, several time but if i hit the throttle it would die unless i covered the carb a little my gut says its still dirty, but i never worked on one with the electornic choke. any idea why I cover the carb some it runs fine

If its stock jetting yo need to run the air box. It's very restrictive but thats the way the factory is jetted. Someone used to make a kit to turn it into manual choke but I'm not sure who. I converted one over using the parts off of our 05 viper 50. Cable lever plunger all fit fine and worked great.

Call hetrick or g force. I know hetrick stocks the jets as they are an odd ball mikuni jet series also they can get you close in the jetting dept. Me I'd switch over to a khein 20mm pe. Much easier to tune and manual choke.

On our stock 18mm carb, I use around 40 for the pilot and around 105 for the main. I dont ever need the choke and if you need to choke it a filter like that comes off fast. Just hold your hand over the carb.
The manual choke kit is about $80. By the time you buy an assortment of jets and a manual choke kit, you could have bought a keihin PE20 like 04twinpeaks said.
