I just did my first rebuild. Now after waiting 1 week for a o-ring and another week cause i broke off a head bolt and ordered new ones. She is back togeather.Other than the bolt and a lil trouble with the oil ring, i really enjoyed doing this.Just a little more work like regreasing the swingarm all around.ill be set for another year of thrashing through the woods. But even faster now i hope.Cant wait for the break-in to be over with.I also polished all my parts again to kill time waiting on parts.Sure wish i could afford to PC it. Its gone from this a few weeks ago.

THe oil ring can be a pain.I had help but ended up getting it on by myself after 6 tries with help. Also i would NOT tourqe the head bolts.I broke two just tring to get to 6lbs. Just tourqe the bigger bolt in the center to 17lbs.I also ran a very small bead of gasket sealer around the head cover gasket.Other than that just takes your time and be sure of what you just did.

did you use any thread lock on reassembly?

Only place i used thread lock was on the cam chain sprocket. And i just poured oil on the cam before putting the cover on it.
