What's the point?

My buddy ran into some issues with the LTR fuel tank. He had to replace the oem trx450r cylinder head cover. The crf450r cover fits perfectly. The oeam trx450R head cover is to high.

There are a few reason one might tackle a project like this. It's probably fun to make a hybrid set up like this. If you know a thing or two about welding/fab, why not. It's worth a shot. Also, we all know the geometry of the LTR is far superior to the TRX; hence, this is why they all have LTR front ends. My final guess would be the power a TRX will make is better than that of the LTR.
My thoughts at least. Why would someone make a hyabusa into a 3-wheeler... because he felt like it.

Some of this might help you out!
i am extremely interested in how this project turns out, how is it looking for an airboot to fit?
EDIT: I also just thought, what are you going to do about the kick starter seeing as when your not using it it flips back???

Looks sweet! Can't wait to see the finished product.
I know this would be a long stretch, but I think it would be cool if Walsh sold some type of conversion kit for the LTR to run a CRF or TRX motor.

I obviously know about the hybrid. I said a conversion kit. Not a complete bike.

What are you doing about the kickstart?
Nahum

My buddy told me, that he would try that kicker position in the second picture. He said something like "to teeth forward" ... Moreover he said that he does not need an extension ... we´ll have to wait and see ...

I sat my TRX450 engine into my LTR frame just to see what it looked like. It seemed like it would be a lot of work to get everything sorted out.
I didn't do it when I had both engines out, but what is the weight differences between the 2?
Nahum

@ohioEX
Unfortunately my buddy did not weigh the two engines. He promised to do this during the next days.
Some new aftermarket parts ...
