What does the overange do?
Please break it down
So we can better utilize one or not!

The overrange in a nut-shell is simply larger circumference front and rear pulleys.
Basically, it allows a belt to get more travel when used correctly. Which means more "gears".

No wait, he's right. :)

Just what he said.

ok so if i where to install a overange i should expect
a little quicker acceleration
a little more top end speed

would my current 1500 torsion spring work ?

is there any other words of advise prior to purchasing?

Mr. H, have had a chance to do a direct comparison between the Malossi overrange variator and the Stage6 copy?
From what I've seen in comparing the two, the Stage6 one is much lighter. Should that mean quicker revs (crank weight)? Imo, that Malossi one is a slug.
Also, Stage6 has come out with a really trick rear pulley too.

We ran the stage 6 variator last year on a bunch of quads from about Minn. through LL and I did like it . As to compare one to the other no hp diff. no torque diff. but ->->
I noticed it tuned like a Polini 9 roller and reacted like the Malossi through the Mid.
Problem with them they are very light and the Aluminum seems to wear very quickly.
I had to re-face them after 2 races and replace shortly after,,,
I have not tested the new rear,I have one sitting here just havent done anything with it.

I can say for xc in my opinion your carb is way to big.
But anyway the clutch set up will work very well for your engine and what you are doing.
Give me a call I go over some options so we make sure it functions the way you want it to.
