i have an 02 with a wiseco 10-1 .040 over piston. i am going to replace the valve seals, so i figured i would put a sparks cam in it and new cam chain. i am also going to put either a sparks racing 8 plate clutch or gt thunder clutch. which clutch do you guys think would be the best choice?

Id do tusk as well, your paying for the names of the other clutch setups. Your bike doesnt make nearly enough power to require the 8 plate setup either.

FWIW: Im still on my stock clutch with my 426. No issues besides the plates sticking slightly-but thats just age.

^Agreed, my quads got 8 years of racing under its belt and 3 years of regular riding and the stock clutch still feels brand new. Just because the OEM guys have to build whimpy machines to meet the EPA doesn't mean all their parts suck. A lot of the OEM equipment is pretty good.

Stock plates are best. Many pros run stock plates. Aftermarket plates wear faster. Some afermarket plates can act like a heavier fly wheel on the engine.

Stock or Tusk... I run Tusk in my 450 with the HD springs and I'm going to put a Tusk in my wifes 416/11:1 and my buddies 426/11:1 bike
