Well if you are running in Production A in the EDT Series them boys is fast, They almost as fast as pro class.
You might want to get a bigger carb, And try geting the flywheel lightened if you take about 4 or 5 oz. off of the flywheel it will rev way faster. I have even seen people drill holes in the crank to make it lighter but I dont trust that.
You need to focus mostly on the head work like valves, cams, port work, high comp piston, ect.
If you are running in Production A I would send it to a professional motor builder.
Is this going to be your first year running with us on the EDT Series or have you been running with us before.

I've ben racing local races in the pro class for 10 yrs. I went to the 1 st round NC kinston. I did the B class didn't do good tho I got hit in the 1st corner. Then I raced at a local track the next weekend and broke a cam (hot cam stage 3) it crack the case and chipped the jug I needed new ones. So it took me a little bit to come up with the money. It has stock cams, ported head and the 12.5 piston for now. Any suggestion.

It's an R... No carb on the bike.
If you are trying to max out your motor for A class, I would consider the following. It depends on how much you want to spend. I race MX so my motor set would be different but consider the same given A class:
-Ditch the PCV. Buy either a Vortex or GT Thunder ECU. If you can't afford that, go with an MSD. There have been numerous dyno sheets showing at least 2hp increase with an MSD over the PCV. The Vortex is what Ballance runs on their YFZRs and have had great results.
-The FCI (fuel customs) intake adds another hp or more, depending on your mods.
-Get an 06-08 YFZ intake cam. That increases HP 1-1.5 and can be had for $40. I would suggest getting a better SET of cams that are a grind for TT. This would allow the right power curve for the power where/when you need it in the RPMs.
-Bump compression up to 13.5.
-If you go all out, boring your TB will help too. With the "best" mods, a bored TB will add another 1-2 hp.
I member by the name of Buddah on YFZ central did many dyno runs with different setups showing each of the mods and their power increases. Hope it helps.
I assume you have some sort of pipe too.

For the pipe I have a GYTR full system and I made my own intake I have a 4 1/2" filter cone down to 2 1/4". I was thinking about buying a autotuner by power commander for better tuning. Don't know if anyone knows Dyno port but I work there so I've ben thinking about copying the stock GYTR sil and making one that is lighter. I've taking about 40 pounds off the quad. Thanks for all the help.

Is there any way I can put my Hot cam stage 3 intake in the quad. The cam that I broke was a Hot cam stage 3 exhaust cam. And leave the stock exhaust cam in and put the Hot cam stage 3 intake cam into the quad. or just buy a 06 yfz 450 intake cam. any anwsers

Well just bought a 14.5/1 cp piston and I'm still looking for a 06-09 yfx 450 intake cam.
