I wanna get the rear out a bit more than it is, best swing arm to go with or any alternatives I can go with to accomplish this. I wanna get it out a bit further and get a longer axle, like a +2 or something

stock 06+ TRX450r swingarm is a low cost, decent upgrade, I'm looking for one myself

Perfect! What all is needed to swap over? Is anything useable from the 400 rear end?

Better question is why? A longer swinger will plant the rearend better and slightly remove the bucking action due to the improper designed linkage-but the EX is designed with a short rear to make it handle the way it does.

If your looking just to remove the bucking over whoops you want to get a lowering link. It puts the shock in the proper geometry and eliminates the bucking action. Course your shock should be revalved and resprung for weight when you do this.

To swap the 450r swinger in you just need to slightly space the sprocket with some washers. The carrier will fit but is slightly longer. Also might want to swap for a 450R brake setup as its much smaller than the EX's which is huge and sticks out a bit.

I have a Lonestar +1 1/4 swingarm mated to what I believe is GT Thunder linkage. It lowered my quad a ton and no matter how badly I hit the whoops it won't buck. Great set-up if you ask me, expensive but you never know what's on ebay/craigslist.

Is the 450 axle longer than the 400?

Yes, by about 3/4 of an inch iirc.
