I have an HMF slip on I am thinking of selling. What is the going rate for a good used freshly pack by HMF going for?

I'll trade ya my FMF Titanium 4! ;) Go on ebay and type in hmf slip on and it should bring up a few. Base your selling price around that.

I don't think I am interested in a Ti 4. I am looking to get a quieter pipe. Looked on ebay and there is 1 used one on there for $225 and that is to much and I think mine may be in better condition. Do you think $150 shipped is asking to much?

150$ is a decent place to start, I think anyway.

Clean 400ex BTW, looks good!

I just saw a quiet core for that pipe on eBay for $16 bucks... Just search "HMF quiet core" might be worth a shot...

I have a quiet core and it sounds like crap for the HMF. I have tried many things and have mellowed it out a little but now I think I am ready for a change. May go with the Motoworks sr4.

Thank you for the comment.

I got my yoshi slip on of Craigslist for 150. It said 150 on the ad and I thought that was a very fair price so I didn't even try to get them lower. It was pretty much new too, little rust on mid pipe

You look like you are too lean on your main jet judging by the bluish color of your header.

Nice looking ex!

I am running on the rich side with a 158 main and it runs good. I tried a 160 main and that was way to rich to where I was loosing power on top. She runs real good from idle to hammering the throttle. I have it dialed in good with a 42 pilot for starting. Still finicky starting but it is all good.

Sounds good. Just didn't want to see anyone cook a motor.
Have a great Thanksgiving guys.

All 400ex's regardless of year are too lean from the factory. Im not sure why they do it, but they belong having at least a 40 pilot and 150 main, not a 38/148. The reason the headers turn blue is they discolor due to heat b/c the machines to lean.

Being setup lean is also the reason why its a PITA to start one of these things up when cold.

IMO a pipe as nice as that looks start high on prices.. You can always go lower if need be.. get as much as you can get for it.. I refuse to give my things away esp if they are in great shape..
