just picked up a sparks exhaust, its kinda rough the can looked like it dragged on the ground or something, the tip is all tarnished and the midpipe is pitted. im gonna try and repack it, sand the can and work up to a fine grit to make it smooth and give it a brushed look, get a new stocker for the side and maybe try the mothers cone to repolish the tip. but what about the pitting? also will the mothers bring back the tip. id like to get the new tip so i can use a quiet core but sparks only offers that with their refurbishing which is a little steep at $175

For the pitting I would try a flap disc for a right angle grinder. The problem is that its getting thin so you have to watch how much you take off.

I have used Mother's Mag & Aluminum Polish on the cans. With some elbow grease, it can do wonders. It will reduce the pits, but not fully remove them. By the time my pipe has gotten to that point, I have bought a new one. I would think sanding would remove the pits.
