How Do I Fix This??

The pictures show what happened when i wrecked. It isn't much but it bugs the crap out of me because my 400ex used to look in great condition. For some reason, the headlight and plastic dont line up at that one point and the inside of the light there is plastic pieces that broke off the middle(inbetween the two headlight bulbs)

How do i fix these problems?

I would start taking off everything to see what is bent, them fix or replace the headlight... The hood pops right off and I think there are only a couple 8mm bolts holding the headlight on...

If you need a head light and the 04/05 450R head light are the same (they look the same but I haven't had them side by side) I have one... Maybe we could work out a trade after all..

Yeah, i was goin to do that when i got time. My hood did pop off when i wrecked but we out put back on. We just cant find out if its a plastic latch or a bolt because we can't find where it would go. But my headlight 100% works, its just mis-aligned.

I think you have to take the fenders off to get to the 2 bolts on the upper sides of the head light. There are 2 pins that go into rubber grommets on the bottom of the light so you have to pull straight up to pop it out...

I thought you said the headlight had a broken piece in it...

So you need a new headlight (big money btw if you buy new, hell even used they are $$), and possibly a new hood.

Gotta find out what tabs are busted and go off that. Your either gonna need to figure out a way to make it align using whatever you can jerry rig or you gotta buy a plastic welder $$$$ and make new tabs.

Here's a good question for you CJM.. Does the 450R light swap with the 400?

Its most likely the headlight support that is made out of round stock. It probably looks fine and not bent, but it is easily formed by hand and you should be able to bend it back. Yes a 450 headlight will work fine. I have one in my 400. Expect to pay $75 for a used one.

i'd just get an aftermarket hood and lights from somthin else.

Alright, ill have to take a more serious look for what is bent or missing.

And for the headlight, there is pieces broken off but the only pieces that are broken is the middle black plastic in between the two bulbs. My headlights still work great.
