Which year/make/model CRF cam chain is it that is supposed to be a cheap, direct replacement in our engines? Just asking so that I can possibly save a few bucks vs. buying the GT thunder one.

nvm, I found tha part number but is for example the GT Thunder HD chain any different or better? Also how does a thicker chain affect the tensioner and sliders?

Just to be sure this is the right one correct?

The 2002 crf450 chain fits. Not totally sure on the other years but 2002 for sure.. I picked mine up for about 20 bucks NEW. The 450r chain will not as it using a diff routing system and also is a uni cam design

Its all the same chain for 02 and up CRF450R.

The GT chain is a CRF chain believe it or not.

Ok I knew a few diff years work, but was not sure exactly which ones did after 02.. I was thinking 02-06 but knew 02 for sure.. Not to mention GT wants alot more then what a standard one cost( or you can get them for) None the less I was still rite :P

I checked the part numbers once, iirc it was either 00 and up or 02 and up. But I usually just tell everyone to use an 02.
