so i have a baldwin built 05 trx 450. it came with the stock carb on it and ive always wanted better, ive looked into FCR's but dont have to money for one. my 450 makes 50.7 hp at the wheels.

on the other hand i just picked up a 440 built 400ex that has a doug eichner 39mm edelbrock on it. i was wondering if i should put that one on my 450 and put the stock 450 on the 440.

I like the feel of the stock one, but i would like to see what my 450 can do with a better carb. would i be able to throw that 440 carb on there and leave it (would it be that beneficial)? or should i just save up the money for a FCR? thanks. im all about saving money here and using what i got.

i replaced my 05 carb with an fcr and then switched to the edelbrock and have loved it ever since...my fcr was built by baldwin and my my edelbrock was tuned by my local shop and it has a ton more power than the fcr if you get it tuned right

thanks guys! i know it works really good on that 440, but its kinda made for it. and i noticed i had modify the factory thumb throttle (it came with a dual gassar) so it would open it all the way. would i need to do anything with the cables? any help is appriciated and used.
