Is that coolant reservoir tank required with an aftermarket oversize radiator?
Does anyone go without it with their oem radiator?
Wondering if it is just for show:p or actually has a purpose...;)

it does have a purpose. When coolant gets hot it expands, when cool it contracts. Now the coolant bottle catches what gets "burped" out and sucks in back in when it cools.

I usually check my coolant level regularly. I ditched the coolant tank long ago. I have seen some smaller versions of a coolant tank mounted on the radiator air scoops here recently though.

What you need to do is get yourself a overflow bottle off of a polaris predator (ebay $15) and mount it on your radiator air scoops. Works great and looks great.

It's off a Polaris predator I believe. The Walsh one comes with hardware, spacers, etc., and it's new. If you piece it together, you'll probably be somewhat close. Check out a Polaris microfiche.

EDIT: Nevermind, eBay has some cheap ones...
