06 Predator still not right

Ok had it out this weekend and the bike still isn't 100%. My question is is the rear tail light always supposed to be on when the bike is running - regardless of the headlight switch position.

I noticed when a friend was riding the light seemed to come and go - might be an intermittent short that is making the bike want to stall and run like crap.

Was he hitting the brake? I believe my 05 tail was running and brake.

he was blasting up a hill at the time - so I don't think he was intentionally hitting the brake.

My 07' pred 500 has a running light on all the time and gets brighter as the switch is triggered. the switches are very touchy. mine had the same stalling problum. I found the p.o. who had installed the spark plug didn't set the gap and it was at .10 instead of .35. and the intake valves were too tight by about .010
just picked up the new shims today and we'll see how it runs tomarrow.
