ok guys im having some year issues my 450r is supposebly a 05 now it does have the oil cooler but i noticed on all my buddies 05s they have a gold valve and clutch cover and mine is silver and does not look painted or polished? also my flywheel looks diffrent my friends had little notches cut all the way around it and mine is polished smooth ??? any ways to tell by looking at it weather it realy is a 05?

Easiest way is trie your air filter in your friends 450s, If its too big you have a 06+ bike

is the oil sight glass under the oild filter or back near the shifter?

assuming it is the same motor and engine, check the 10th digit on the frame. If it is a 5 then it is a 2005. If it is a 6 then it is a 2006.

oh ok its a 05 afterall lol still why do some models have the gold valve cover and clutch cover special edition??

oil sight glass is in the front of motor on 06 up and rear on the older version
