id buy it in aheart beat if it ran good :D you can get a title at the dmv made up just make sure you geta bill of sale off him

10-28-2011, 09:29 AM
I've had several bikes that did not have titles. I do not worry about it much. You can call the dmv or the local police department and they should be able to run the Vin.

Once that checks out just get a bill of sale and your good to go.

kono993
10-28-2011, 11:38 AM
yeah ill run the vin. i think the only bad thing is that the drive its 2 hours one way lol but i think it will be worth it:D

Haha, 2 hours is nothing! ;)

I drove 5 hours a few years ago to pick up my little brother's Z400.. I got off the phone with the guy on a Wednesday at 5:00p.m. and packed up and left. Didn't get back until 4:00am and I had to work at 7:30. Only if the price is right am I'm willing to travel though..

Got some nice stuff on it that looks to be a quadtech hood spraypainted? black. Gibson stem, aftermarket shocks all around is a huge plus on a 2500$ quad haha. The only thing it looks to need is a skidplate for the frame and maybe a swinger skid idk how rocky it is where you live. All in all looks like you got a good deal.

P.s. remove that terrible light on the bumper!

Have u tried to get a title for it yet PA is tough to get a title from I've tried for a few race quads just to sell them and it was a pain. They all had clean titles and no leans or anything like that but when I bought them I never got a title or transfered them into my name and some state only give u a bill of sale and it was still a pain. Good luck

If you need a stock clutch cover, I have a couple laying around, both in good shape. Will let one go for $25 shipped. If you are interested, let me have an e-mail address and I can send you some pics later tonight when I get home.

yea i really like them but they cost soo much i cant get over that. but if i can get them for like 500 i think i would do it.oh and they have new tires on them to. thats why im not looking at the Douglas champion in a box

Hipers are good wheels but there not that much lighter then aluminum wheels maybe 1-2 oz per wheel which really isnt noticeable...Another thing with hipers is ive heard numerous people snapping the heads off the the beadlock bolts.

If you get a good aluminum it shouldnt bend, and if you have hypers and do that the rims breaks haha. you;d have to pound somthing pretty good for a dwt beadlock to bend

ok so today me and my dad were working on the bike and everything was going good till we got to taking out the old swinger bearings the drive side came out without any trouble but the other one was stuck so it took a little beating to get out  and after that was done we tryed to clean up the marks in the bearing sleeve from getting out the stuck bearing. but when we put the new one in we didnt see one little lip till it was too late so we ended up puting a small dent in the bearing witch wouldnt let the bearing roll smoothly so now i need a new set of swinger bearings :ermm:. also started puting in new a arm bushing to but wont be done till tomorrow. one little piece of advice to help eliminate any pivot issues in the future is...

to have clean well maintained ground connections

by keeping your grounds clean and with good continuity,it eliminates any stray voltages from looking for a grounding means, and any dissimilar metals that have voltage present, will have oxidation from electrolisis, and this is the single biggest factor in siezed pivot bolts and bearings, its even worse the dirt and water

Pick up a can of bead sealer, if you have a car quest around you they carry it. Comes in a quart sized jug with a ball on a stick applicator attached to the lid. Works wonders on small bead leaks. You do have to break the bead though inorder to apply it.

ended up sealing it with some of that slime stuff and pumping them up a lot lol they seem to hold air now so everything worked out. still waiting on my new set of swinger bearings tho...
