Hey guys here is a Some pictures of a blaster build im just starting. It is a 2000 Blaster witha 76 yz 400 engine going in it

glad to see im not the only one putting a 400CC motor in a blaster. but in my case it is a 400ex engine.

Yeah 400cc is a lot to put in a blaster frame but they all fit. I just took my for its first ride and was disappointed cause it didnt run very well. Im thinking it was because i was running the blaster head pipe. Any input on what pipe would fit or where to get a custom one made would be greatly apprciated.

Im just going to use the ex head pipe and fabricate it around the blaster frame.

Yea but its much easier for you to use the 400ex headpipe cause it doesnt need an expansion chamber...I would imagine that big 400 motor is just too much for that little blaster pipe...

With my lt-CR hybrid, I used the dirtbike pipe, cut it in 3 places, clocked it around to fit the lt frame and welded it all back together..... Works great, and didn't have to cut out any length.

Pic came out a little fuzzy, but this is before it was up and running.

try to get a stock yz400 pipe and cut it too fit. as long as you keep the same volume in the pipe your ok

Yeah i got a 38mm i would sell real cheap. Haha.

Beastly,

Iwas kinda thinking about the yz pipe but i need to make sure that it has the right bends to cross over the engine. I realize it has to be cut but i want to start with something close.

Ive seen this motor put in a YFZ450 chasis. They used a honda 250r pipe with some modding I believe.

Do some digging in this section of the forum. A few years ago someone did what I think is the same build, if not very similar, and it turned out amazing. He posted some videos too, that thing RIPPED. Definitely worth the search on here
