I relaxed outside as much as possible to keep from getting anxious sitting inside. I had a broken right hand and collar bone so ps3 was out and the comp was tough to operate.

comp, ps3, puzzles, rc cars, legos, if you can work in the garage that works well, clean the house well, read books, mags, painting, drawing, any other art stuff, and some other stuff.

that would be my starting list if there is full use of your arms lol.

when i had the rod in my finger at the beginning of summer, i got bored and emailed all the companies and managed to build up an inventory of a few thousand stickers. but since i had a cast, i got my wheelbarrow out and fixed some things around the house. or id **** around in the garage, or watch moto videos, and ive got an inventory of a few hundred dirtwheels and atv action so that helped. i could never really get into video games, i always preferred to be outside doing something, or wrenching on something. like my 400, how i smashed my fingers bone and growth plate :/

Broke my collar bone two weeks ago at little sahara, sucks sitting at home doing nothing. I actually had surgery to have a plate and 7 screws installed, was broke in 4 places. Actually being pretty productive now, been putting my trx250r back together for the last few days including welding, grinding, sand blasting and powder coating. But for the most part I have spend alot of time on forums and you tube.

hahahaha yea ive been playing some black ops and watching all my huevos, fallout, and on the pipe movies and some snowboarding movies, but i am already tired of watching tv, i need to find something outside to do. i can wrench a little, but cant really lift anything or use 2 hands much. im trying to take it easy and see if it heals how it is so i dont need surgery but idk if its gonna. haha its so much easier to spend money when you're off work and not making money :ermm: i might go buy forza 4 tomorrow

heres the xray, the bone broke and now the 2 pieces are overlapping each other so my shoulders actually shorter. the doctor said theres a possibility it might heal how it is without a plate and screws, but i don't see how, the 2 ends arent even touching each other?

Yup looks almost identical to mine, exept mine looks like this now....http://i597.photobucket.com/albums/tt59/audioworks04/travisplateandskrews.jpg
They gave me the option of not having the plate installed, but I have always been taught that if something is broke you fix it. I also did some research and found that most people that have the plate installed are back sooner than without it. Also with bad breaks such as yours and mine, people tend to have problems later with movement due to large calcium build ups and sometimes end up having surgery to remove the build up later in life.

Oh great that's just what I didn't want to hear haha yea they gave me the option too and pretty much said the same thing but I'm really trying to avoid surgery. I go for a follow up next Monday so I'll see what it's looking like then. Does the metal ever bother you at all?

To be truthful, the Ive never been in more pain than I was right after the surgery, but day two wasnt bad and have completely stopped taking pain meds less than two weeks after. Still not allowed to to lift anything with my left arm yet, but I have been in light small amounts. My plate is screwed to to the bottom of my bone basically making it undetectable as far as feel. This way things with shoulder straps will not bother it. I do not regret getting the surgery at all, other than the price but I have killer insurance. Let me know if you have any questions sitting at home on disability still.

ask your doctor for a LOT of pain pills, get high as you can, and just chill for a little bit, play xbox, ps3, watch movies, doesnt matter...chill for as long as you can, the more you let a bone heal, the better your recovery will be.

Be careful u could end up being addicted to them, and after ur script runs out u will be tyrin to find them on the street, and it gets expensive. :D
