i have a 09 450 xmx with less then 10hrs on it, i was riding it today and got about 15laps and it shut off. the engine light came on it started popping and shut off like it wasent getting fuel. checked all the connections and there good(pulled the plastic) im at a loss here. any info would b great

It is called limp mode. Welcome to the world of the DS. But dont worry, you can send your ECU away to BCS Performance or Motoworks and they can program it to get rid of it.

i forgot to say that it has a motoworks reflashed ecu and slip on. and i was told that the bike can get hot enough to shut its self off. i was also told that the reflash take care of it?

i think it may have something to do with the charging system. maybe the stator has gone bad?

What other mods have you done? Holes in plastics? Inline water cooler? What type of coolant are you using (water wetter or engine ice)?

its stock other then the reflashed ecu. it has the holes cut in the plastic and also has the inline cooler, not sure what kind of coolant is in there
