Should I get works shocks for my 300ex or get 400ex stock shocks with 400 ex a-arms? With the 400 shocks I would have to get a-arms, tie-rod, and a mount? Or I could just get a set of 300ex dual rate shocks with ressies? But what do you guys think I should do?

Aftermarket shocks made a world of a difference for me on both the 300 and 400. I have the Works dual rates with rezzies on my 300 with stock a-arms... Very happy with this setup.
I don't know what kind of riding you do. If you plan on doing MX, someone may recommend you going with wider front a-arms for your 300. I could be wrong, but I think you can have your 300ex aftermarket shocks setup for wider a-arms once you get them. If so, I too would recommend getting the aftermarket shocks.
Good luck!
