I need all new tie rod ends for a DRR and I have heard that Yamaha Banshee ones will work, has anyone out there tried this? I think they are about $70/pair from DRR.

Be careful of what you buy. I bought a set of four from ebay (and a member of this forum) which stated they were for a DRR. Well, they mounted to the tie rods just fine however all four were tappered and the ones that went into the stem flag ended up whallering out the holes in the flag. So I had to buy a new stem. Tried to save a buck and it cost me twice as much.
Make sure the two inside ones are the type that go so far in and stop. You want the type that takes a 12mm wrench to hold while you tighten the nut from underneath.

That's the thing I was concerned about is the non tapered ones that go on the steering stem.

Just do yourself a favor and contact your favorite DRR parts dealer and just buy from them. Save yourself the headache. I'm one of the biggest cheaparsses you'll ever meet but if i've learned one thing - Saving a buck just might not be worth it.....
The right thing to do is use one of this website sponsors..

2004-2005 Yamaha YFZ 450 tie rod ends are the same. I have used several. No guesses, they work!! Im sure theyre the same as Banshee and other Yamahas. But I do know 100% the 04-05 YFZ work. 2006 and newer Yfz are 100% different!

Are the inner ones that go on the steering stem the non tapered style.
