Does anyone have a 300 with a e-series slip-on and then got the header? If so does the header give it any more power or is it a waste of money? And also what does it mean to grind the welds on the stock header pipe? And which would give you more power?

To grind the welds means that inside your header there are big welds that stick out and restrict air flow and some people grind them off. I know there are welds like that in a 400ex header but i'm not sure about a 300ex header. I would say if your gonna grind the welds just to go ahead and get the header since the stock header is small in diameter.

When I added my head pipe on my 300 EX it really woke the engine up. I think I got better increase from the head pipe than the silencer.

300ex headers suck! get a after market one, and there arent any welds that would restrict flow in the stocker on a 300ex, headers is definelty worth it
