I was having decompression problems on my 400 and just bought a stage two cam. I take the spring and plunger out of the head and dont use the decompression clutch on the cam right? Also, was that a good choice? It's factory bore but should run good with a stage two? I was thinking stage 1 but wanted a little more power.

ya you are right with the spring and plunger. The cam should work fine for you. You might have to get a new battery if it turns over too slow and wont start. Thats what i had to do after swapping out my stock cam (no decompressioner now) turns over slower

No arguments here on that one!

but be aware when you first ride it, a stage 2 is mid-top end... 4th and 5th go by ALOT faster now! lol
