cr ignition in love

Well bought a cr ignition for my R . Last upgrade other than Yukon gears . So last night I got her all wired up and fired up . Wow she sounds different . She also reved out quick . Seems like the power band is going to come on a lot quicker now and end a lot quicker . Can't wait to test drive her .oh yea I went from old fuel like a 2 months old detonating with old ignition to same fuel and no detonation with cr ignition . Them timing curves help alot

Can you tell me more about this mod I have heard guys talk about it what what do need to buy ?

They do sound way different huh, this r I picked up has a 92 cr ignition and that is way way better than the trx so I can only imagine the 01. When I brought it home I took it off the truck and fired it up to pull it in the garage, the old lady come running around front all pissed off because she thought I bought another dirt bike. Lol, I was impressed she knew the sound difference.

Any 2001-below cr ignition works . 2000-2001 are the best .

Esr is a heavily promoteter of the cr ifinition


If u had a cr ignition what would be the manner of telling which year cr it's from.

I was told esr only sold the 01

Didn't by mine from esr . I hear that a 2000 has a better curve . I asumed they were the same

I got the ESR ignition on my trike and it made a big difference but yet I put it on my 86 R and made it sound like a different quad but didn't notice a big improvement

to those without the ESR what year parts are u running and how do you like it,
I have the ESR, it was on the bike when I bought it, so I cant compare it to before but its alot faster than my built 450R, its got the ESR 310 kit and iginition, and exhaust

It seems like I've lost some bottom grunt . Like for wheelies seems like she don't come up as easy . She has more of a power wheelie now .

I am running cr 250 2002 ign.
bought the adapter from a member on here (machwon).
not sure if he make them?
The plate has long slots .
the ign. 2002 cr 250 .
the stator is a electricsport w/lighting capability.
I am running the entire wiring loom.
later on plan on hid lights.
so before $500+dollars ptck up a 2002 cr 250.ign.
On the other forum I believe some says cr 125 cdi works ,don't know if the flywheel stator ect.. works


why is this not a mod and tech sticky
