Well i got the frame today, i got some stuff i need to clean then put on. I dont have everything i need yet but i still need my other motor put together and get some stuff pc'ed.

I didnt gusset it, actually i havent done anything to it yet, i bought it the way it is in the picture:devil .Where else should it be gusseted i have never looked into it much.

I'm gonna go with blue plastic and pc the swingarm and a-arms blue, i was lucky the frame was already oarnge so i dont have to get that pc'ed too.

First i need to get some bearings and nuts and bolts and some pc in done on other parts then i can start making some progress.
This will be the xc quad.

Are u throwing a Ex motor in the frame or u gonna go bigger with a CRF or YZF?

Outlaw-I already had an extra ex motor that is getting stroked. I'll probly put the 440 in the oarnge one and put the stroker in my red quad.

305- I could do that but i dont feel like powdercoating everything to match. But its already pretty much set up.I'm just tired of riding that wide one through the woods.:devil

This is where the 400s are Natorious fro cracking or breaking. The only thing u have to do after u gusset these spots, is drill a hole in the chain side gusset. Because u have to be able to get to your chain slider to take it off and put it on. So just drill a hole in the gusset. You will get the idea.

And u definately want to gusset these 2 spots also. Ive never had it hapen to me, but ive heard of alot of guys cracking there front upper shock mounts. SO ya might wanna do it. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the tips, when i do my other frame i will remember those.
Do you think it would be better to use tube steel when i get the other one done? Something that is about the same thickness as the frame would it weld better? I know the tube steels would way less.

Well i actually got some stuff on it. Hopefully i can get the rest of the parts pc'ed in the next few weeks. I should be getting plastic in the next week or so. Then i'll snap a picture of it with plastics. After i get the stuff pc'ed i just need to get my motor put together. And buy the wiring, I think i got almost all of the small stuff i need.

Well when i get the suff powdercoated can put a lot more of it together. I'm not going to bother painting the stock a-arms i'm just going to save more cash and buy some jrd +1's or some of arens new ones.

yup mine cracked on top of both shock mounts
