cr ignition ?

I know that 2001 is the most desirable cr ignition but How much different is the 2002 cr ignition than 2001?

Its been said for years, that 2000 & up CR250R ignition systems is what you want to get, but how far you go UP, I dont know.
I would not be afraid to use a 2000 up to 2003 for sure & I think the only difference is the timing curve between each.

I just installed a 2002 cr 250r ign.
It started up!
have yet to ride under a load.
bought adapter from here for 2001.
bought the ign. with a box of parts for a 2002 cr 250 for $40
It came with a elctrosport lighting stator.
SO YES 2002 CR 250R WORKS
BUT TWO THINGS

1 THE ADAPTER HAD LONG SLOTS
TURNED ALL THE WAY COUNTERCLOCKWISE

2 MY 1986 TRX250R ALWAYS STARTED
BEATS ALOT IF NOT MOST 4-POKERS .
