Some 450r front shocks and decent nerf bars. Also, adjusting the valves is pretty simple to do yourself.

i had the ironcross! LOVED IT!

The only thing about the ironcross is, its for looks, not for protection! Its quite small. I have a PRM now and its made for protection, you can tell because its freakin huge! But the ironcross is awesome! I will prolly buy another one day.

450r shocks and nerfs then a stg1 HC wouldbe icing on the cake! maybe some skids for wherever you ride. trust me the 450r shocks are the one thing i wish i wouldve bought for mine. my 450 handles bumps like nothing there compared to my old 400. its a good amount of moneybut soooooo worth it man!

I've got the Blingstar Victory bumper and it looks pretty good, but it's also small. Follows the lines on the front pretty good. Also you could paint little odds and ends, that is always easy, cheap and makes it look alot better. BTW, did you cut your fenders yourself? They look good, makes me miss the way my quad used to look.

Nerf bars make it look pretty good. There is a set of Tusks on rockymountainatv.com for only 180 bucks. It comes with the nerfs, fat pegs, and heel guards. The directions arent right though. I still want to get a pro armour bumper, pro taper bars, Gforce axle(Only 200 bucks), and 450r shocks for mine because i already have a good bit done to my 400ex. Good luck with everything!

Remember: sure it might look nice if you make it all cosmetically appealing, but it wont go faster or handle better.

Go before show I always say

I thought it was a 450R too at first glance, and I was wondering why you were asking about parts for it on a 400 forum. Then I saw it had the dual headers. It looks pretty good now, just needs a good clean up.

Hope you don't ride that thing on trails, or in a gncc race, or a rutted mx track for that matter. You'll get high-centered in no time flat.

Definitely add a sparks timing key to that list. Best $20 you will ever spend. Also I would definitely buy a Trx450r FCR carb. My carburetor is just a bored out 400ex carburetor but the larger bore gives me so much more power. My engine is very tame in mods but I have more power in my 400ex then I had in both my Yfz450 and Trx450r. Considering that I only have an exhaust and K&N filter in addition to my carburetor I would have to assume the carburetor is what gives me so much power.

^^ tbh ive never heard of a bored carb  if you want cheap power through in a hotcam stage 1 to a stock motor and it will make a difference.

Basically the diameter of the carburetor is increased through boring. So the stock bore the of the carburetor would be 35.5mm and can be increased to around 39mm. Or you can buy a trx450r carburetor that is 40mm and hasn't been tampered with. Either way works but I'd imagine it's cheaper and more reliable to get a carburetor for the 450r. Additionally it's a much better carburetor.

well first things imma do are what i actullay need, which is adjust valves, rear brakes, rebuild carb. thas bout it after all tht this winter if things go well i plan on gettin a slipon exhaust, either prm summit or dg vpro bumper, new rear fenders, fatbars, new handguards, and if i have the money after all tht then stg1 hot cam maybe other little things

Rohr397

I know I already said it before and you don't have to do it, but buying a Trx450r carburetor would be way better then rebuilding the current one.

Also what are you looking at for slip-ons?

x2 austin may be a 400ex newbie  but he has the right idea befor you go and rebuild the stock carb buy a 450r carb way more power and i seen a good one sell on here the other day for 50 bucks!!!
