Is this switch possible

buddy has a 2008 kfx450r set up for mx but cant keep a motor in it due to rods snapping at wristpin(3 this season),he loves the handling and ergonomics of the quad but is fed up with the motor was wondering if it be possible to put a trx450 preferably a kicker in the kfx frame without too much of a headache(fabbing motor mounts and wiring are no issue) just curious if the factory swingarm bolt hole will line up or is this idea just a pipe dream?

Its possible anything is possible...But what does he race cause it would no longer be a production quad...

I'd use a crf motor instead of the trx. it's going to be a non production quad anyways.

hes not worried bout it not being a production quad he just races local mx so the quads are not really checked over or anything,was just throwin ideas around and was unsure how much of a pain the swap would be

Oh if he dont care then im with MXeli and put a crf motor in there will be badass...

how big of a pain would it be to drop the crf in there or would it just be a matter of making a spacer where the swing arm bolts supposed to go through motor and making motor mounts??

I've tried goofy ideas like this before, but I'm thinking it might be tough and you wouldn't know until you find a motor and tr to put it in, if the chain lines up or not.

try to find a friend with a crf, ask to borrow his motor for awhile. just do some measurments and ull get a idea of how hard it'll be
