How do you remove the ball joint boots from the ball joint?

Remove the metal clip on at the bottom of them around the boot..:confused:

Pappy do you happen to know how? I thought a while back you pc'ed a set of stock 400ex a-arms and u said you had to replace the ball joints? correct me if im wrong

scratch that to remove the boot just take a flat screwdriver and wedge in at the bottom of the boot and twist it and work your way around it until it pops off

He did mine black. I think that is the only color he will do stock a-arms. Because you can't remove the ball joints, and with black you don't have to cook it very long.

Thanx guys, I was thinking maybe some automotive tie rod ball joint boots might fit, i was gonna take them to the auto parts store and see. Thanx for your help

Do you mean do you have to replace them because you want them PC'd? No, Pappy just tapped mine up and repacked them after he was done.

I honestly have not ridden on them much since they were done. Just a couple of hours. I had them done late in the year and still have not been able to ride. But they seem to be ok. And they look good too.:D

I have a set of stock 300ex a-arms and a few of the ball joint boots are ripped, so i wanted to replace the boots and sell the a-arms.

got a pic of ur a-arms?

Alright, im not gonna order them from there tho, cuz you have to have a minumum of 20.00 order or some bs, and i dont feel like waiting, so im gonna go the auto parts store pretty soon, and i'll post when i come back

i talked to napa a while back and they have an assortment of boots but i never got my a-arms back to go up and try any of them out yet so you could check that out and let me know if you come up with anything
